Professional photographer John have worked with many different people over the years shooting different genres. He has done business with Thomas Cook, Queen, David Bowie, AC/DC, Black Sabbath, and many others both live and studio. Who is John G Moore?I’m a professional photographer and Presenter from Glasgow Scotland. I’ve worked in London, New York, LA and Tokyo. I’m known for great versatility in my work, shooting diverse genres such as Music, Fashion & Beauty, Portrait, and Landscape. How long have you been a photographer?I’ve been shooting all my life really; my Grandfather was a keen photographer and gave me a Kodak brownie when I was aged 5 - I must have wasted a few quid on 126 film but he was supportive and encouraged me a great deal. My Mum bought me a Yashica Electro 35 in my early teens and then thanks to David Bailey, I upgraded to an Olympus OM2 in 1976 when I started shooting rock bands at the Glasgow Apollo Theatre. I still have my OM2 to this day. Tell me about your company, and who you have been working with?I’ve worked with many different people over the years shooting different genres. My Commercial clients have ranged from National Theatre Scotland, All Saints, G-Star, Park Hyatt Hotels, MYF, The Triple Three Brand, Denimio, Lusona, Direct Holidays, Thomas Cook, and Globespan amongst many others. Going way back to the Seventies shooting music I’ve photographed: Queen, Roxy Music, David Bowie, Tony Visconti, AC/DC, Thin Lizzy, Rush, UFO, Japan, Black Sabbath, Van Halen, The Blue Nile, Slash, Duff McKagan, Matt Sorum (GnR), Wishbone Ash, Courtney Love, Fun Lovin’ Criminals, Big Country, and many others both live and studio. How important is efficiency to you?Highly important. Time is everything nowadays due to my heavy work schedule. What are your thoughts on shortcuts and how important are they for you?I have a memory like a sieve :-) so having shortcut keyboards for the main software I use is an incredible bonus to me. The fact that the Astra models are backlit is also great, as I tend to edit in low ambient light a lot. Which shortcut is your most used shortcut in Adobe Lightroom? My most used are actually D and G to flip between Library and Loupe views. Thereafter it’s probably R for crop. How has the keyboard helped your workflow and postproduction?I use both Premiere and Lightroom Astra models and they have helped my productivity hugely - it’s brilliant to have all the software shortcuts actually printed there on the keys. Having now used them, I couldn’t envisage working without them. Every creative using Lightroom or Premiere Pro would benefit greatly from using Logickeyboards.
